NBA G League Ignite returns to action in a pair of preseason games against Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92. Tipoff for game No. 1 is set for Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET from The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev., and will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and through the new NBA App.


Six NBA Draft-eligible prospects headline this year’s Ignite roster, led by top prospect Scoot Henderson, who returns for his second season with Ignite. In his first season with the team, Henderson averaged 14.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.67 steals, and ranked second on the team in assists (89) and steals (35).

Also among the roster are 2023 NBA Draft prospects in Canadian standout Leonard Miller, NBA Academy graduate Mojave King, French U18 National Team star Sidy Cissoko and former Washington State forward Efe Abogidi, plus 2024 NBA Draft prospect London Johnson.

Ignite’s three NBA Draft Top 10 picks in the last two seasons mark the most by any team — collegiate, international and pre-Draft — in that same span. Those picks include: Jalen Green (No. 2, Houston Rockets – 2021), Jonathan Kuminga (No. 7, Golden State Warriors – 2021) and Dyson Daniels (No. 8, New Orleans Pelicans – 2022)

Ignite’s newest squad features two players who return for the team, including Henderson plus Pooh Jeter. Jeter averaged 7.9 points and 3.4 assists per game last season.

Scoot Henderson averaged 14.3 points in 21 games last season, including a career-high 31-point outing against the Santa Cruz Warriors. Henderson also averaged 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

2021-22 RECAP

– Ignite called Walnut Creek, Calif. home but traveled to Las Vegas’ Michelob Ultra Arena to play its home games.

– Ignite did not play a traditional G League schedule. The team competed in the Showcase Cup alongside all G League teams, but began its “Ignite Tour” in January — playing exhibition games against G League opponents that did not count toward records or G League standings.

– Posted a 9-18 record in Jason Hart’s first season.

– Participated in NBA All-Star’s Rising Stars, and the team scrimmaged against USA Basketball in February.

– Three players were selected in the 2022 NBA Draft.
