Wisconsin Herd Announces 2022-23 Home and Away Television Broadcast Schedule

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, announced its official television broadcast partner will be WGBA-TV (NBC 26) and WACY-TV (tv32). Both stations are owned and operated by The E.W. Scripps Company. Herd fans can watch all away games and all home games for the entire season, with the exception of one game, on WACY-TV (tv32). This marks the fifth season Herd games will air on WACY-TV (tv32).

Ted Stefaniak returns to the Herd for the 2022-23 season. Stefaniak brings over 30 years of broadcast experience to the Herd, including 15 seasons with the WIAA State Basketball Network. Stefaniak calls play- by-play for Northeast Wisconsin’s “Sports Showdown” on tv32. He moved to Green Bay in 2002 and has provided the call for hundreds of local sporting events including high school basketball and college basketball games. Stefaniak previously served as the sports director at WGBA-TV and WAOW-TV. He is a graduate of Creighton University and started his broadcast career at KKAR radio and KPTM-TV in Omaha.
Alongside Stefaniak as color commentator will be Appleton, Wisconsin native Brian Butch. He currently co-hosts “The Game” in Milwaukee on 97.3 FM with iHeart Media and serves as a game & studio analyst for the Big 10 Network’s NCAA games. Butch also spent two seasons as a coaching associate for the Wisconsin Herd. He also runs the Brian Butch Basketball Camps and the Brian Butch Academy.
B.J. DeGroot, Joe Wolf and Brandon Kinnard will all serve as alternative announcers.
B.J. DeGroot is the Brand Manager for WSCO/WHBY at Woodward Radio. B.J. is a well-known, local play-by-play broadcaster for his coverage of over twenty different high school baseball, basketball and football programs in radio and video broadcast.
Joe Wolf is a Kohler, Wisconsin native and former University of North Carolina basketball player. He was selected as the 13th overall pick in the 1987 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. After playing thirteen seasons in the NBA he became an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks and later an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets. Most recently, he was the head coach for the Greensboro Swarm in the NBA G League. He brings knowledge from his years as an NBA Radio and Television Color Commentator.
Brandon Kinnard is a Northeast Wisconsin native and an award-winning Sports Director for NBC26. Before joining NBC26, Brandon worked at WAOW-TV in Wausau, where he was the station’s Sports Director from 2015-2018. Kinard has served as a play-by-play voice for the WIAA boys and girls state basketball tournaments. He has also worked as a play-by-play announcer for the BEK Sports Network and several local radio stations.
In addition to the local telecasts, the Herd is scheduled to be streamed on wisconsinherd.com/the NBA G League App and appear on national television 20 times, including four NBA TV broadcasts (Nov. 29, Dec. 6, Feb. 15, Mar. 19) and 16 ESPN+ games (Nov. 9, Nov. 10, Nov. 15, Nov. 17, Nov. 30, Dec. 14, Jan. 4, Jan. 11, Jan. 25, Feb. 1, Feb. 7, Feb. 28, Mar. 7, Mar. 15, Mar. 21, Mar. 23).
