Vipers Finalize 2022-23 Opening Night Roster

EDINBURG, Texas – The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA G League Affiliate of the Houston Rockets, announced today their final 2022-23 roster and waive five players.
Cedric Russell, Kyree Walker, Shawn Occeus and Ashton Hagans were waived on November 3. Marvin Johnson was waived on October 28.
The Vipers season roster includes returning players Trhae Mitchell, Kahlil Whitney and Ray Spalding. RGV’s roster stands at 12, including two-way players Darius Days and Trevor Hudgins.

The Vipers tip-off the season on the road against the Mexico City Capitanes on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 6:00 p.m. CST at Mexico City Arena. On Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. CST the Vipers will play its first home game of the season against the Birmingham Squadron at Bert Ogden Arena. The night will consist of a ring ceremony for the reigning NBA G League Champions. Fans in attendance will receive a championship replica ring, while supplies last.
