Both teams were held to its lowest point total this postseason in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals, Presented by YoutubeTV.

Las Vegas improves to 3-1 in the season series with Connecticut.

Aces forward A’ja Wilson led all scorers with 24 points and tied a game-high with 11 rebounds.


Sunday was Wilson’s fourth consecutive double-double performance.

Her 24 points set a new career-high scoring in the WNBA Finals.

Wilson has recorded at least 10 rebounds in six of seven games played this postseason.

Wilson went 12-of-14 from the free throw line in Game 1. She is the seventh player in WNBA Finals history to make at least 12 from the charity stripe in a Finals game.

Aces guard Chelsea Gray added 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting.

Gray has ended five of seven games played this postseason with at least 20 points.

As a team, Las Vegas went 16-of-19 from the free throw line, while Connecticut shot 3-of-5 from the line.

The Aces built its largest lead in the game at 21-9 in the first quarter.

Connecticut started the second quarter on an 13-4 run over the first 5:44 of the quarter to take the lead, 30-29.

Alyssa Thomas led Connecticut with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Her 19 points marked a 2022 postseason-high for her and her fourth double-double in the 2022 playoffs.

With 15 points today, Jonquel Jones moved into fourth all-time in scoring in Connecticut Sun postseason history, passing Asjha Jones (370).

Connecticut held Las Vegas tied for the fewest second quarter points scored in a WNBA Finals game with 9.

Becky Hammon WNBA Finals Record: 1-0, WNBA Playoffs Record: 6-1 (.857)

Connecticut had won each of the first two Game 1’s this postseason until Sunday.
