Maine Celtics Announce Opening Night Roster

PORTLAND, ME – The Maine Celtics, presented by Unum,today finalized their roster for the start of the 2022-2023 NBA G League season, which tips off tomorrow night at the Portland Expo.
The Celtics head into their 13th season loaded with players with NBA experience. Two-Way Players JD Davison and Mfiondu Kabengele will lead the Maine squad. Denzel Valentine returns to Maine for a second season and will be joined by newcomers and NBA veterans Marial Shayok and Luka Samanic. Eight of Maine’s 12 players enter the season with previous NBA G League experience, while the other four players are all rookies.
To get to the maximum roster size of 12 players, Maine waived Josh Hall, A.J. Hess, Zak Irvin, and Carl Pierre from the training camp roster.

The Celtics will open the season against Westchester in a pair of games this Friday and Sunday. A limited number of tickets remain for Opening Night. Tickets for all 24 of Maine’s home games at the Portland Expo are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting MaineCeltics.com.
