Lakeland Magic Announce 2022-23 Season Schedule

Lakeland, FL – The NBA G League released its 2022-23 schedule today and announced the Lakeland Magic will open their season on Friday, November 4 in Memphis against the Hustle, NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies. The Magic will host their home opener at the RP Funding Center on Friday, November 11 vs the Austin Spurs, NBA G League affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs. Game time is 7 p.m.
For the second consecutive season, the schedule will be split into two parts – an 18-game Showcase Cup and a traditional 32-game regular season. Following the Showcase Cup, team records will reset in advance of the 32-game regular season. Each NBA G League team will play a 50-game regular season: 24 home, 24 away, and two neutral site games at the annual Winter Showcase in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lakeland will play a total of 16 home games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this season. The 2022-23 Magic schedule also features 11 back-to-back contests (eight home/home back-to-backs, and three away/away back-to-back).
The Lakeland Magic will play 10 games in November (four home, six away), nine games in December (six home, three away), 13 games in January (four home, nine away), six games in February (three home, three away) and 10 games in March (seven home, three away).
The longest homestand of the season will be from March 5 through March 13 spanning five games. Lakeland will face a season-long five-game road trip from January 17 through January 24. Lakeland’s final home game of the season will be on March 23 vs. the Long Island Nets. Lakeland closes the regular season at Iowa on Saturday, March 25.
