Iowa Wolves Acquire Returning Rights to DJ Carton, Keandre Cooke

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wolves announced today that the team has acquired the returning player rights to guards DJ Carton and Keandre Cook from the Greensboro Swarm in exchange for the returning player rights to forwards Tyler Cook and Vincent Edwards.
Carton, a native of Bettendorf, Iowa played in 32 NBA G League games for the Swarm last season, averaging 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He played one season for Marquette University in 2020-21, averaging 13.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Carton transferred to Marquette after playing one season for Ohio State University in 2019-20, averaging 10.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game for the Buckeyes. Carton was named Iowa’s Mr. Basketball in 2018-19 after averaging 24.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 6.0 assists per contest for Bettendorf High School.
Keandre Cook played in 38 games for Szedeák of the Hungarian Basketball Federation during the 2021-22 season, averaging 15.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 assist per game. Prior to his stint in Hungary, Cooke played in eight games for the Swarm in 2020-21, averaging 1.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. Cooke was a two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in his two seasons at Missouri State University.
Tyler Cook appeared in 20 NBA games during the 2021-22 season with the Chicago Bulls, averaging 3.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. The former University of Iowa standout has appeared in 65 career NBA games.
Edwards played in 24 games for Iowa during the 2021-22 season, averaging 18.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
