Grand Rapids Gold Announce Trade with Birmingham Squadron
September 16, 2022 – NBA G League (G League) – Grand Rapids Gold News Release
The Grand Rapids Gold, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, announced today that the team has acquired the returning player rights to Chasson Randle from the Birmingham Squadron, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans.
In exchange, the Birmingham Squadron received the returning players rights to Kelan Martin. This trade is not subject to a physical.
Randle started his career at Stanford University and made his NBA debut in 2017 with the Philadelphia 76ers. The 6’2 point guard had a total of 266 points during his time with the Orlando Magic during their 2020-21 season.
Most recently Randle played on the New Zealand Breakers of the Australian National Basketball League. During the 2021-22 NBL season, Randle played in 17 games and averaged 7.76 points per game.
