AUSTIN – The Austin Spurs today announced the team’s promotional schedule for the 2022-23 season, presented by SWBC. Each of the team’s 24 home games this season will have a theme, in addition to a collectible poster giveaway.
Single game tickets will go on sale Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. CT. Fans can sign up for the Austin Spurs fan club to get access to a presale that will begin Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. CT and include a 10 percent discount.
Fans can enjoy $3 beer specials on Thursday and Friday nights, and all kids in attendance for Sunday Funday games will have the opportunity to shoot postgame free throws. The team is also offering free kids tickets for those 14 and under for two home games this season – Kids Night on Feb. 26 and Youth Sports Night on March 15.
The Austin Spurs are welcoming fans back to the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Friday, Nov. 4 with an Opening Night Celebration and a San Antonio Spurs 50th Anniversary commemorative coin giveaway for the first 500 fans. In honor of the Spurs 50th Anniversary season, the Spurs legends bobblehead series that the San Antonio Spurs are giving away this season will be included with select tickets for Austin Spurs games on Nov. 20 (George Gervin), Dec. 2 (David Robinson), Jan. 1 (Tim Duncan), Feb. 11 (Manu Ginobili) and March 10 (Tony Parker). All five bobbleheads will come together as one unit for fans who collect the entire series to form a Spurs river barge, made popular during the team’s championship celebrations. Fans who are interested in guaranteeing that they receive all five bobbleheads can purchase the Legends Bobblehead Pack, which includes the five games and five bobbleheads starting at $250.
Los Raros de Austin, the alternate identity of the Austin Spurs that translates to “The Austin Weirdos,” will return for three games this season with some weird-inspired giveaways. For the first Los Raros de Austin matchup of the season on Dec. 29, the first 1,000 fans will receive a breakfast taco-scented air freshener. On Jan. 21, fans who bring new, packaged underwear to donate to the team’s underwear drive will receive a Los Raros de Austin mascot-inspired pair of tighty whities. The final Los Raros de Austin game of the season on Feb. 10 will feature a pool noodle giveaway. Players will wear Los Raros de Austin-themed uniforms and warmup tops for the three games.
Austin will host three Fiesta Nights throughout the season on Nov. 20, Feb. 11 and March 10. Players will debut new Austin Fiesta Edition uniforms modeled after San Antonio’s historic tradition as the team brings Fiesta to the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
Additional games that feature themed jerseys this season are Superhero Night on Nov. 5 when the first 3,000 fans will receive a comic book, Ugly Sweater Night on Dec. 2 to get fans in the holiday spirit, the Dream Game on Jan. 16 honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Military Night on Jan. 20 to recognize those who have or are currently serving our country, and Kids Night on Feb. 26. Select games will also feature custom warmup tops, including Breast Health Awareness Night on Nov. 15 and Black History Night on Feb. 8. All theme night jerseys and warmup tops will be auctioned off with a portion of proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations.
In support of local youth, there will be an education-focused Schoolhouse Jam game on Nov. 17 and a College and Career Readiness game on Feb. 2. Fans will have a chance to bring their dogs to a game for free on Dec. 1 for the annual Hoops and Hounds game. The Austin Spurs mascot will have the spotlight on Jan. 1 for Da Bull’s New Year Celebration, and the San Antonio Spurs mascot, Coyote, will be in attendance when the team hosts San Antonio Spurs Night on Jan. 26. Fans will have the opportunity to learn mobile gaming from the Tribe Gaming squad at Tribe Gaming Night on March 2.
