LAS VEGAS, NV -The Las Vegas Aces got a career playoff-high 33 points from A’ja Wilson and evened their best three-out-of-five Semifinal Playoff Series with Storm in a 78-73 victory.

KEY RUNS

First Quarter (Sueattle 23, Las Vegas 16)


The Aces led 14-11 with 4:02 to go, but the Storm went on a 12-2 run to close out the quarter. Breanna Stewart led all scorers with 8 points.

Second Quarter (Las Vegas 36, Sueattle 36)

Seattle extended its lead to nine, 29-20, but Las Vegas scored 11 of the next 13 points to knot the game up at 31. A’ja Wilson scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in the period.

Third Quarter (Las Vegas 60, Sueattle 52)

Tied at 50 with 3:42 remaining, Las Vegas closed the third on a 10-2 run. A’ja Wilson went 6 for 8 from the field and scored 13 points in the period, while the Aces’ defense held Seattle to 29.4 percent shooting from the field.

Fourth Quarter (Las Vegas 78, Sueattle 73)

Las Vegas extended its lead to 10 early in the final stanza. Seattle sliced the advantage to two on three occasions, but were never able to regain the lead. Kelsey Plum scored 9 points in the quarter.

KEY STATS

It has been 901 days since Breonna Taylor was murdered. Recently, four Louisville Metro Police Department officers were charged by the FBI with federal crimes in relation to her death.

It has been 195 days since Russia’s wrongful detention of Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner began.

Las Vegas made 18 of 23 free throws, while Sueattle went 11 for 11.

The Aces outscored the Storm 11-4 in second chance points.

GAME NOTES

A’ja Wilson scored a playoff carer-high 33 points. That is the second highest postseason scoring total in franchise history (Becky Hammon, 35 points, September 28, 2008 vs. Los Angeles).

A’ja Wilson tied her career playoff high with 13 rebounds.

Chelsea Gray shot 8 for 13 from the field, and is now 32 for 48 in the playoffs this season (.667). That would be the highest field goal percentage ever in the postseason for a player with at least 40 attempts should she maintain it.

A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart became the third set of players in WNBA postseason history to score 30 or more points in the same game.

Riquna Williams grabbed a career playoff-high 8 rebounds.
