Growlers Guard Brandon Sampson Named to All-CEBL Second Team

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers are proud to announce that guard Brandon Sampson has been named to the 2022 All-CEBL Second Team.

Sampson, a 25-year-old Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, appeared in 15 games with the Growlers and averaged 20.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 32.3 minutes per outing.


After four years at LSU, Sampson was not selected in the 2018 NBA Draft but ultimately signed with the Chicago Bulls in December of that year, going on to make 13 appearances with the Bulls across the 2018-19 season.

Sampson becomes the first Newfoundland player to earn All-CEBL honours in the team’s inaugural season.
