Vipers and Drsicoll Announce New Partnership

EDINBURG, Texas (Nov. 2, 2022) – The Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Driscoll Health System announced today a new partnership between both entities. After 15 years, the Vipers are proud to announce that Driscoll will be the official jersey sponsor of the team for the 2022-23 campaign.


Along with being the jersey sponsor, Driscoll will also be the title sponsor for the teams’ “Different and Beautiful Night” hosted on January 6 during the game against Sioux Falls. The night will focus on promoting inclusivity, diversity and acceptance.

“Driscoll Health System is thrilled to partner with the Vipers as we continue to grow healthcare services for the children of the Rio Grande Valley,” said Matt Wolthoff, President of Driscoll Health System. “Driscoll pediatric specialists, clinics, health plan, and coming soon, the only designated free-standing children’s hospital in the RGV are all examples of providing more care for more kids here at home and we are excited that the Vipers share that vision. We wish the team great success on the court this season and look forward to working together to improve the health and wellness of children in our community.”

On Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. the Vipers will play its first home game of the season against the Birmingham Squadron at Bert Ogden Arena. The night will consist of a ring ceremony for the reigning NBA G League Champions. Fans in attendance will receive a championship replica ring, while supplies last.
