Wisconsin Herd to Host Open Scrimmage and 5K/1K Race this Weekend

OSHKOSH, WI. – Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, will host two events open to the public this weekend to tip-off its fifth season anniversary. On Saturday October 29, the Herd will host an open scrimmage at the Oshkosh Community YMCA 20th Avenue (3303 W 20th Ave, Oshkosh, WI, 54904) at 12:00 p.m. The second event will be on Sunday, October 30with the Herd’s first ever Run with the Herd 5K and 1K Family Fun Run followed by a Fan Fest at Oshkosh Arena.
The Wisconsin Herd will host an open to the public scrimmage on Saturday, October 29 at the Oshkosh Community YMCA 20th Avenue at 12:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend, and doors will open at 11:30 a.m. This event will provide fans and media a first look at the Herd’s new training camp roster in action.
On Sunday, October 30 the Herd will host its first ever Run with the Herd 5K and 1K Family Fun Run at Oshkosh Arena. The 5K race will start at 8:00 a.m. and the 1K race will start at 8:30 a.m. All entries will receive a Wisconsin Herd ticket voucher, a t-shirt, a medal, food and beverage, a Bucks hat and a Nike drawstring bag. Following the races, 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Oshkosh Arena, the Herd will be hosting an open to the public Fan Fest inclusive of vendors, food trucks, inflatables, locker room tours, James David the Magician and a meet the team event. The Meet the Team will take place at Oshkosh Arena at 12:00 p.m. and at 2:30 p.m. there will be a Youth Basketball Clinic presented by Wilson for the first 50 children 12 and under that register for the 5K or 1K. The clinic will be facilitated by Wisconsin Herd coaches.
