October 20, 2022 – NBA G League (G League) – Rio Grande Valley Vipers News Release

The reigning NBA G League Champions, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, tip-off
the 16th season in the NBA G League on Sunday, Nov. 6 on the road against
the Mexico City Capitanes at 6:00 p.m. CST at Mexico City Arena. For the
first-time-ever the Capitanes will play the full 2022-23 campaign.

The 2022 NBA G League Draft will take place on Saturday, Oct. 22.

With the 2022-23 Vipers season nearing, RGV begins their training camp
on Monday, Oct. 24. Members of the media wanting to attend, please

Kevin Burleson joins RGV as the new Head Coach.

During the regular season, games that advance to overtime will be
determined by a Final Target Score of +7. Overtime wll be untimed and
games will end when a team reaches or suprasses the Final Target
Score.

All 31 games at the 2022 AT&T NBA G League Winter Showcase in
Las Vegas will utilize a 25-point Final Target Score during an untimed
fourth quarter.

During Showcase, teams are seperated into four regional pods (RGV is
part of the South Pod) and play 16 games against one another in the
G League markets from the start of the season to mid December. The
teams with the best winning percentage in each regional pod, along
with the next four teams across the league with the best win-percent-
ages, will advance to compete for the Showcase Cup during Winter
Showcase.

Player and team statistics will reset at the end of Showcase Cup.

For the first time ever Mexico City and the G League Ignite will play the
full 2022-23 season.
