South Bay Acquires Returning Player Rights to Shaquille Harrison and Naz Mitrou-Long

EL SEGUNDO – The South Bay Lakers have acquired the returning player rights to Shaquille Harrison and Naz Mitrou-Long from the Delaware Blue Coats in exchange for the returning player rights to Mac McClung and Jared Wilson-Frame, it was announced today.


Harrison (6’4″, 195) has appeared in 175 career NBA games (23 starts) for Brooklyn, Denver, Utah, Chicago and Phoenix, owning career averages of 5.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 15.2 minutes per game. He played two games for the Nets last season, averaging 2.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 11.5 minutes. Harrison appeared in nine playoff games with the Nuggets during the 2020-21 season and has played 111 career G League games (50 starts) across three seasons with Delaware and Northern Arizona. During the 2021-22 G League season with Delaware, Harrison averaged 2.1 steals a game, a key statistic that helped him win the 2021-22 Kia NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year award.

Mitrou-Long (6’3”, 218) has appeared in 20 career NBA games across three seasons with Indiana (2019-20) and Utah (2017-19), posting averages of 1.7 points and 1.2 assists in 6.9 minutes per game. The Canadian has appeared in 99 career G League games (78 starts) over four seasons, the most recent being in 2020-21 with Fort Wayne. In that campaign with the Mad Ants, he averaged 13.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.1 assists in 25.9 minutes per game. Mitrou-Long played collegiately at Iowa State (2012-17).

McClung appeared in 26 games (all starts) in 2021-22 for South Bay, averaging 21.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 7.7 assists in 36.3 minutes per game. McClung was named the Kia NBA G League Rookie of the Year and to the All-NBA G League Rookie Team.

Wilson-Frame appeared in 32 NBA G League games (28 starts) with Salt Lake City in 2021-22, averaging 17.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 36.2 minutes per game while shooting 36.8 percent from 3-point range. The Connecticut native began his collegiate career at Northwest Florida State (2015-17) before transferring to the University for Pittsburgh (2017-19) for his junior and senior seasons.
