Rush Sign Goaltender Alexis Buque to 2-Year Deal

Saskatoon, SK – The Saskatchewan Rush are excited to announce the signing of free agent goaltender Alexis Buque to a 2 year contract.
“Alexis has a ton of NLL experience both as a starter and as a backup,” states general manager Derek Keenan. “His numbers have been solid and consistent throughout his career. We are going to have a very competitive training camp in many areas of our team including goaltending.”
Buque was drafted into the NLL in 2014 to the Colorado Mammoth. The 5-foot-11 332 pound netminder played three seasons in Colorado before being traded to Buffalo. The New Westminster, BC product later played for New England and New York before settling into Vancouver this past season. Between the pipes, Buque had 543 saves with a 0.77 save percentage to finish his 2021-2022 season with the Warriors.
Prior to his NLL career, Alexis suited up with the Jr. A Whitby Warriors under the coaching staff of Derek Keenan and brought home two Minto Cup Championships in 2011 and 2013.
