Knighthawks Sign 2021 Draft Picks to Multi-Year Contracts

(Rochester, NY) – Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced today that the team has signed forwards Corson Kealey, Riley Curtis and Pent Eistrat all to two-year contracts, pending league approval.
All three players were selected by the Knighthawks in the 2021 NLL Entry Draft with Kealey (19th overall), Curtis (35th overall) and Eistrat (50th overall) going in the second, third and fourth round, respectively.
A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Kealey recently completed his fifth season at Robert Morris University with 43 goals and 61 points while starting in all 16 games as a graduate student. In five seasons with the Colonials, Kealey has amassed 178 points on 133 goals and 45 assists in 63 career games while also adding in 76 groundballs and 82 caused turnovers defensively. He finished third all-time in school history in goals-per-games (2.11) and eighth in total goals (133).
During his sophomore campaign in 2019, Kealey posted a team-leading 52 goals and ranked second among all Colonials scorers with 62 points (52+10) while appearing in all 17 games. Over the course of the campaign, Kealey registered nine hat tricks and 14 multi-goal games, including 12 consecutive contests to end the season. For his efforts, he was named to the NEC All-Tournament team.
He was also an All-NEC Rookie Team selection in 2018.
From 2015-2019, Kealey spent five seasons in Junior ‘A’ Lacrosse with the Toronto Beaches, posting 200 points on 96 goals and 104 assists in 75 games. He also added 16 goals and 12 assists for 28 points in 12 postseason contests. In 2018 and 2021, Kealey also saw action in four combined games between the Peterborough Lakers and Brooklyn Lacrosse Club, both of the Major Series Lacrosse (MSL), earning seven points (3+4).
Curtis recently completed a five-year collegiate career at the University of Denver (NCAA) from 2018-2022. In 59 career games with the Pioneers, Curtis posted 52 points on 22 goals and 30 assists. As a graduate student this past season, the Brampton, Ontario, native produced career-highs in goals (12), assists (16) and points (28) while appearing in all 15 games, including 11 on Denver’s starting midfield unit. He scored a goal in 11 of 15 games and recorded at least one point in 14 of the 15 contests.
During the 2021 National Collegiate Box Series (NCBS) with the Bighorns (Colorado Collegiate Box Lacrosse League), Curtis led all players in both goals (46) and points (52) in just nine games.
He also appeared in 26 games between the Brampton Excelsiors and Peterborough Lakers (OLA Junior ‘A’), recording 39 points (20+19) from 2015 to 2018. Internationally, he earned a silver medal for Team Canada at the 2016 U19 World Field Lacrosse Championships.
Eistrat spent the past five seasons at Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.), leading the Tigers to back-to-back NCAA Division III National Championships in 2021 and 2022. This past season as a graduate student, Eistrat appeared in all 23 games, including 20 as a starting forward, helping the Tigers to a near-perfect 22-1 record during the regular season while serving as team captain.
In 70 career games with R.I.T., Eistrat collected 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points while adding 61 groundballs and 24 shots on goal. During his tenure at R.I.T, the Toronto, Ontario, native was twice named a USILA Honorable Mention All-American and was also a Second Team All-Liberty League selection in 2022. Additionally, he was a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection in each of his final three seasons.
In his Junior ‘A’ career with the Mississauga Tomahawks, he recorded 125 points (51+74) over 48 games while also posting two goals and nine assists in five playoff games. He also tallied 22 goals and 21 assists for 43 points with the Brampton Excelsiors in 2019. In 10 postseason contests, he registered 18 points (6+12).
