Knighthawks Set to Open 2022 Training Camp this Weekend

(Rochester, NY) -The Rochester Knighthawks will open their 2022 National Lacrosse League Training Camp this weekend with practice sessions being held Friday through Sunday at Segar & Sciortino Field at The Blue Cross Arena. All practice sessions are closed to the public.


Training Camp officially gets underway on Friday, Oct. 28 when players report for physicals and medical testing followed by a 9:00 p.m. practice session. The highlight of the opening weekend of camp is a 6:30 p.m. intersquad scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 29 before one final practice the morning of Sunday, Oct. 30 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Saturday’s intersquad scrimmage is not open to the public, but fans can follow the team’s progress through the Knighthawks’ official Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts.

The Knighthawks will also host a Learn to Play clinic on Saturday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. featuring instruction from select players as well as an interactive Hawk Talk event with the Knighthawks coaching staff and management exclusively for Season Ticket Members at 5:00 p.m.

Rochester will hold additional practice sessions over the month-long camp at Brampton Memorial Arena between Tuesday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 26. The team will also play in three exhibition contests during the month of November, beginning on Sunday, Nov. 6 against the Buffalo Bandits at KeyBank Center, before taking on Calgary and Panther City on Saturday, Nov. 12 and Saturday, Nov. 26, respectively, at Brampton Memorial Arena.

The Knighthawks embark on their third NLL season on Saturday, Dec. 3 on the road against the Georgia Swarm as part of the league’s Face-Off Weekend before returning home to host the Toronto Rock on Opening Knight on Saturday, Dec. 10. Knighthawks single-game tickets will go on sale Friday, Oct. 28 at 10:00 a.m. Season Tickets are on sale now and start as low as $17 per seat per game.
