Mequon, WI – The Lakeshore Chinooks have announced the organization will be making a change at the Field Manager position for the 2023 season. Field Manager, Travis Akre, will not be returning for the upcoming season. The team has now begun the search process for a new Field Manager.

Travis Akre’s time with the organization spanned five years and four seasons. He achieved an overall record of 128-157. This past season, he lead the Chinooks to a 36-36 season and finished 4th in the Great Lakes East Division.

“The past five years have been real enjoyable being part of the Chinooks. I would like to thank General Manager Eric Snodgrass and the organization for allowing me to build the roster each season and providing endless support. It allowed us to give a first class summer baseball experience for the players. The relationships I was able to build with the players and coaching staff is what I’m grateful for the most,” stated Akre.

The Lakeshore Chinooks would like to sincerely thank Travis for all of his hard work and dedication over the past five years and wish him the best in the next steps of his coaching career.
