Calgary Roughnecks Re-Sign Key Defencemen

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Roughnecks have signed veteran defenceman and Assistant Captain Curtis Manning to a one-year contract, with fellow defender Liam LeClair inked to a three-year deal.
Manning, 34, is entering his 13th season in the NLL, all with the Roughnecks. He joined the franchise in the 2008 NLL Entry Draft after being selected by Calgary in the first round, sixth overall. The Surrey, British Colombia product was named to the 2010 All-Rookie Team and has amassed 74 points (22g, 52a) in 150 games with the Roughnecks.
A native of Windsor, ON, LeClair is entering his third season with the Roughnecks after being selected in the first round, seventh overall with the team in the 2019 NLL Draft. The 23-year-old played 18 games for Calgary last season, scooping 72 loose balls and tallying 10 penalty minutes.

The Roughnecks will begin preparation for the 2022-23 National Lacrosse League season on Friday, Nov. 4, when training camp opens with medicals and fitness evaluations in Calgary. More information regarding media availability for the team will be made available in the coming week.
