October 21, 2022 – Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) News Release

Los Angeles – The Premier Lacrosse League powered by Ticketmaster has announced that Atlas LC head coach and general manager Ben Rubeor is stepping down.

Rubeor released the following statement:

“Today, I am resigning as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Atlas Lacrosse Club in order to devote more to my growing family. My wife and I recently found out that she is pregnant with our fourth child, and I am looking forward to continuing to try to be the best husband and father that I can be. Thank you to the Atlas players and coaches that have made this a great experience. This is a wonderful group of people that I’m excited to watch in the years to come. Thank you also to the Premier Lacrosse League and all of the people behind the scenes that helped me along the way. I am so grateful for my professional lacrosse journey which started 15 years ago. I’ll forever be a fan.”

Assistant coach Steven Brooks will be named the interim head coach entering the offseason trade window. The PLL will form a hiring committee to determine the next head coach of Atlas LC.

Atlas LC will compete in the 2023 Championship Series in February against Archers LC, Chrome LC, and Whipsnakes LC. Each club will travel a 12-man roster to the tournament to compete in round robin play, finishing with a single-elimination playoff. Game will be played in World Lacrosse Sixes format.
