Albany FireWolves Reacquire Jackson Nishimura from Las Vegas

ALBANY, NY – The Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), have traded to reacquire defenseman Jackson Nishimura from the Las Vegas Desert Dogs in exchange for forward Jacob Ruest.

Nishimura was a member of the FireWolves during the team’s inaugural season and has spent all three of his NLL seasons within the organization. He was selected by the Desert Dogs in the Expansion Draft this summer before being reacquired by Albany. The defender appeared in all 18 regular season games and the team’s lone playoff game last season and was a key part in the team’s transition game, adding 11 points on five goals and six assists. Nishimura also scooped up 123 loose balls and caused eight turnovers a season ago.
