Thunderbirds Return Keaton Thomson on One-Year Deal

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia – The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced they have signed righty, Keaton Thomson, to a one-year deal.

Thomson, 23, spent the 2021-22 NLL season on the Thunderbirds Practice Player List. He split his junior career with the Mimico Mountaineers – making a run to the 2017 Minto Cup – and Mississauga Tomahawks. In 90 Jr. A regular season contests, the Etobicok, Ontario native posted 62 points (18G, 44A) as a two-way player. He also recorded 11 points (4G, 7A) in 18 postseason contests.


“We are looking forward to seeing Keaton push for a roster spot this year”, said Thunderbirds assistant GM, Scott Campbell. “He was on our practice roster last year has has proven to be a great team guy and was able to do it all. He can play offence, transition and defense so we can lean on him in any situation.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Thomson is a graduate of Marquette University, where he played attack in 12 games for the Golden Eagles.
