Wolves Partner with Stober Foundation to Help Make Community a Better Place
November 2, 2022 – Ontario Hockey League (OHL) – Sudbury Wolves News Release
(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce they have partnered with Keith
Brewster and the Stober Foundation.
Recently the Wolves and Keith partnered together to present a $45,000 donation to Canada Blood
Services with the primary focus of the donation to be used locally in Northern Ontario. The Sudbury
Wolves and Canada Blood Services have a strong community partnership as both Alex Pharand and Evan
Konyen are Hockey Gives Blood ambassadors.
Keith is a Sudbury native who now lives in British Columbia as the Executive Director and Lead
Philanthropist at the Stober Foundation. He wanted to partner with the Wolves and their network of
community partners to ensure their donation had the biggest possible impact on the community.
“I moved out West after living in Sudbury for 25 year and I always wanted to come back and do some
work for local charities in Sudbury,” said Keith. “Just over this past year, I really wanted to help make a
difference and make a gift to the city so I reached out to my friends at the Sudbury Wolves to find out
where I should start. I wanted to maximize and optimize this gift and wanted to step up and help the
Sudbury Wolves and SWSE continue to enhance their community works so I am very excited to build this
partnership with them.
“Keith reached out to us around a year ago proposing the idea of him wanting to support some local
community initiatives but wasn’t sure where he should start after not having lived in Sudbury for a
number of years,” said Miranda Boivin, SWSE Marketing Manager. “After a number of brainstorming
sessions, Keith developed a plan to immediately support local charities and not-for-profits and as well
opening up the opportunities for some longer-term partnerships. We are very excited to be able to
continue this partnership with Keith and the Stober Foundation. His energy and excitement for making
the community a better place is contagious.”
Inspired by Keith’s generous gift to Canada Blood Services, the Sudbury are holding Community Give
Back night on Wednesday November 2nd where the organization has donated tickets to a large number
of local not-for-profits as a way to thank their staff and volunteers who help make Sudbury the best
community it can be and to support the community that supports us. Tickets are on sale now for
tonight’s game against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at 7:05. To purchase tickets, visit the Sudbury
Arena Box Office or buy online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets.
