Wolves Host Colts & Petes in Double Header Weekend

(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) The Wolves are back on home ice this weekend for a double header match-up!
The Sudbury Wolves return to the barn for the first time in two weeks as they welcome once again their
division rivals, the Barrie Colts to the arena Friday night. Puck drop is at 7:05pm before the
Peterborough Pete’s pay a visit on Sunday at 2:05pm.
Last week, the Pack headed down south to complete their Michigan road trip with three games in four
nights. On Thursday night, the Wolves visited the Windsor Spitfires and despite scoring four unanswered
goals in the third period they fell short by a final score of 5-4. The Pack then traveled to Flint and
bounced back on Saturday with a 4-2 victory and ended their road trip on Sunday with a loss to Saginaw.
The Wolves are off to a great start on the offensive end as forward David Goyette is tied in second place
across the league for points with 10, five goals and five assists. Goyette is currently averaging two points
per game so far this season and looks to continue his success on Friday night. Wolves forward Kocha
Delic stands alone on the leaderboard for Plus/Minus so far this season with +7. In addition to Goyette
and Delic’s great offensive starts to the season, former first round pick selected in the 2021 OHL priority
OHL selection, Quentin Musty has found himself on the scoresheet frequently as he’s collected eight
points, four goals and four assists through the first five games. Wolves’ fans will also be able to see
Slovakian, defenceman Jakub Chromiak wear in the Wolves jersey for the first time along with Nolan
Collins and Nathan Villeneuve returning to the line up Friday.
The Wolves are now ready to face their next opponent, the Barrie Colts who have a record of 2-2-0-0 so
far this season. This will be the second time the Wolves square off against the Colts this season. The
Colts’ roster features seven NHL prospects including Ethan Cardwell (SJ), Hunter Haight (MIN), Declan
McDonnell (TB), Ethan Vierling (NYR), Brandt Clarke (LA), Arthur Cholach (VGK) and Anson Thornton
(ARI). The Colts are lead by Jacob Frasca who has 2 goals and 2 assists in 4 games.
Friday’s game is sponsored by Technica Mining. Just prior to the game, SWSE will be honoring the Junior
Spartans who won the provincial championship this past summer with a pregame ceremony.
Sunday, the Wolves welcome the Pete’s to town who have a record of 3-1-0-0 so far this season. The
Pete’s roster features six NHL prospects including J.R Avon (PHI), Connor Lockhart (VAN),Tucker
Robertson (SEA), Brian Zanetti (PHI), Artem Guryev (SJ) and former Wolf Chase Stillman (NJ). The Pete’s
leading scorer is Connor Lockhart, who is tied with David Goyette and two additional players for second
in the OHL in points this season with ten. Lockhart has started the season with two goals and eight
assists.
Sunday is Jersey giveaway day and kids 12 years old and under will receive a free Sudbury Wolves
practice jersey with their valid game ticket, while supplies last. Kids under 10 years old and under can
get into the arena for Sunday’s game for just $10! It will be the first Junior Wolves Sunday this season so
fans can join select members from the Pack to skate following the game. Sunday’s game is sponsored by

The Sudbury Wolves have joined forces with Laurentian University’s Sports Administration program for
both games who are collecting new and gently used hockey equipment as part of their 50th anniversary
celebration. The equipment will be donated to the Sudbury Community Housing Corporation.
