September 8, 2022 – Western Hockey League (WHL) – Portland Winterhawks News Release
Portland, Ore. – The Portland Winterhawks, proud member club of the Western Hockey League, are proud to announce that they have signed forward Ryan Miller to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.
The Winterhawks selected Miller in the third round, #66 overall, of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft after posting 26 goals and 33 assists for 59 points in 30 games with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep team during the 2021-22 season. The Medicine Hat, Alta. native also recorded four goals and two helpers in four playoff contests.
“Ryan had an excellent training camp and showed his speed, intelligence and skill right from session one. He plays well with linemates, has a great read of the game and we feel he can develop into a top forward in time,” said Assistant to the General Manager and Director of Scouting Mike Coflin.
