Wings Welcome North Iowa for Exhibition Weekend

The Aberdeen Wings hit the ice for the first time in the 2022-23 season this weekend with a pair of preseason games against the North Iowa Bulls on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9-10.

Friday

On Friday, doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the puck hits the ice at 7:15 p.m. Fans can purchase $5 general admission tickets online at tickets.AberdeenWings.com or at the door on game night. Paid season ticket holders will receive FREE admission.


The game will be broadcast over HockeyTV, the official game partner of the North American Hockey League. The weekend’s games will not be aired on Hub City Radio’s 94.1 The Rock.

Saturday

Saturday’s matchup will be a matinee game, with doors opening at 1:15 p.m. and puck drop scheduled for 3 p.m. $5 tickets will once again be available at the door, or fans can grab tickets ahead of the game online at tickets.AberdeenWings.com. Paid season ticket holders will receive FREE admission.

Saturday’s game will also not be broadcast on 94.1 the Rock, but fans can catch the broadcast using their HockeyTV login.

We’ll host a Skate with the Wings immediately following Saturday’s game. Fans are invited to stick around after the game and meet the team down on the ice.

Clear Bag Policy

The Aberdeen Wings and Odde Ice Center have announced a new clear bag policy that will go into effect for the 2022-23 hockey season.

Fans are encouraged not to bring bags. If fans wish to bring a bag, it must be clear and meet the criteria below.

The new policy is in line with best practices found at other major entertainment venues, along with new security measures. Individual events may elect to enforce a stricter policy than the arena policy at their discretion. Fans choosing to bring a bag to the arena will be able to bring the following:

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC

One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)

Wallets and small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap and does not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″

Diaper bags (with child) after inspection

An exception will be made for medically necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag, after proper inspection

Clear bags will be available for purchase at the Wings Things Pro Shop during the regular season, depending on availability.
