Trevor Connelly Announces Commitment to Providence

KEARNEY, NE. – Tri-City Storm forward Trevor Connelly has announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future at Providence College. Connelly joined the Storm organization on March 14th, 2022, by signing a tender agreement with the team for the 2022-2023 regular season. He made his USHL debut for Tri-City on September 22nd, 2022, in the Storm’s opening game at the 2022 DICK’S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic in the team’s 4-1 victory over the Madison Capitols.
Trevor Connelly, 16, of Tustin, California, appeared in each of the Storm’s games at the USHL Fall Classic to open the 2022-2023 regular season. Connelly netted his first career USHL goal on September 23rd, 2022, in the Storm’s 6-4 victory over the Muskegon Lumberjacks. Prior to joining the Storm organization, he skated in more than fifty games during the 2021-2022 season for the Long Island Gulls. He scored more than thirty goals. Connelly also provided the Gulls’ offense with more than twenty-five assists for over sixty total points. He previously skated for the Anaheim Jr. Ice Dogs AAA program in Anaheim, California before joining the Gulls last season. Connelly appeared in sixty-seven games during the 2019-2020 season for the San Diego Saints AAA organization in Le Mesa, California. He scored eighty-seven goals and recorded fifty assists for one hundred and thirty-seven total points for the Saints during the 2019-2020 season. The list of former Storm players who have skated for the Providence Friars include Aaron Jamnick (2008-2009), Trevor Mingoia (2012-2013), Garrett Gamez (2012-2015), Brandon Duhaime (2015-2016), Johnny McDermott (2015-2016, 2017-2018), Caleb Rule (2017-2018), and Guillaume Richard (2019-2021).
