Todd Walkenhorst Joins Oilers as Team Analyst

Tulsa, Okla. – Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, announced on Friday that Todd Walkenhorst has joined head coach Marvin Jones’ staff as Team Analyst.

Walkenhorst brings over 25 years of football experience, from operations to management. From 1995-1998 Walkenhorst worked in operations for the University of Nebraska’s Athletic Department. In 1998, the former Cornhusker left the NCAA scene for the NFL, joining the Kansas City Chiefs operations staff. Walkenhorst served the same role for the Seattle Seahawks from 1999-2004 before eventually heading to indoor football.


In 2012, Walkenhorst joined the Omaha Nighthawks of the USFL as the Assistant General Manager and head of Football Operations. In the same year, the former Nighthawks Assistant General Manager took the Football Operations role with the Omaha Beef during their time in the IFL, where he would serve through 2013. In 2018, Walkenhorst rejoined the Omaha Beef, now in the CIF, and was head of Football Operations through the 2022 season. During this time, Walkenhorst was a part of CIF League Operations and became CIF League Commissioner in 2021.

Walkenhorst joins head coach Marvin Jones, Offensive Coordinator Joshua Resignalo and Director of Player Development and Defensive Line Coach Luis Class on the current coaching staff for the Tulsa Oilers.

The Oilers will begin their inaugural season in 2023.
