The Aftermath: Tri-City Completes Preseason in Win over Omaha

RALSTON, NE – The Tri-City Storm completed preseason play Thursday night at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in a 4-1 victory over the Omaha Lancers. Tanner Adams (2), Graham Gamache, and Seth Constance scored goals in Tri-City’s win. Sebastian Wraneschitz collected the win in goal for the Storm.


Graham Gamache scored the only goal of Thursday’s 1st period to give the Storm a 1-0 lead over the Lancers. The goal was netted at 5:44 of the period and was assisted by Tanner Adams and Daimon Gardner. Tri-City outshot Omaha 10-4 in the 1st period, and the team carried a 1-0 lead into the 2nd period.

Omaha’s Andon Cerbone tied the game at 13:33 of the 2nd period on a goal assisted by Evan Werner and Alex Bump. Seth Constance gave Tri-City another lead in the matchup with less than three minutes to play in Thursday’s 2nd period. Constance’s goal was assisted by Graham Gamache. Tanner Adams netted the final goal of the period on the powerplay to increase the Storm’s lead to two goals. Adams’ goal was netted on the powerplay and was assisted by Trevor Connelly and Cale Ashcroft. Tri-City was outshot 15-9 in the 2nd period, but carried a two-goal lead into the 3rd period.

Tanner Adams scored the only goal of the 3rd period at 6:33. Adam’s second goal of the game was assisted by Seth Constance and Dane Dowiak. Tri-City outshot Omaha 13-10 in the 3rd period and 32-29 overall in the game.

Sebastian Wraneschitz made 20 saves on 21 shots to pick up the win for the Storm in goal. Niklas Erickson stopped all eight of Omaha’s shots in the final 8:20 of the game in net for Tri-City. Claudio Ardellini played a complete game in goal for the Lancers and recorded the loss after stopping 29 of Tri-City’s 33 shots on goal.

Tri-City hits the ice again on Thursday, September 22nd, in a neutral site game against the Madison Capitols at the 2022 USHL Fall Classic. The game will be played at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Puck drop for the game is set for 7:30pm CT.
