Stamps Add Three to Practice Roster

The Calgary Stampeders have added three American players to their practice roster – defensive back Rashaan Gaulden, receiver Changa Hodge and defensive lineman Jalil Lecky.

For a one-month period every season, CFL teams are permitted to carry an additional five practice-roster players (15 instead of the usual 10 in addition to three spots for global players).


Rashaan Gaulden

Gaulden was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the third round (85th overall) of the 2018 National Football League draft. He played 24 games for the Panthers over the 2018 and 2019 seasons and has also seen action with the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders.

In 27 career NFL games, Gaulden has 20 total tackles including two tackles for loss and one pass defended.

In college, Gaulden played 36 games over three seasons at Tennessee and accumulated 140 total tackles including 9.5 tackles for loss. He also had one interception, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 10 passes defended.

Changa Hodge

Birthplace: East Stroudsburg, PA

American

Hodge signed as an undrafted free agent with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals in May.

He played his final two college seasons at Virginia Tech and dressed for 14 games with the Hokies, making three catches for 25 yards. Hodge started his collegiate career with 31 games over four seasons at Villanova and had 99 catches for 1,685 yards and 15 touchdowns. In his final season for the Wildcats, he had 65 receptions for 1,118 yards and 13 majors.

Jalil Lecky

College: San Diego State

Height: 6.05

Born: July 25, 1997

Birthplace: Walnut Creek, CA

American

Lecky played 28 games over three seasons at San Diego State. During his career with the Aztecs, he recorded 21 total tackles including 4.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

Prior to enrolling at San Diego State, Lecky played two seasons at College of San Mateo. In his second season with the Bulldogs, he recorded 21 tackles including six tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble and one pass breakup.
