After capping off a stretch of three games in eight days with a 4-1 win on Saturday, Sporting Kansas City is now unbeaten in six straight matches and will enjoy a week off during the international break.
Two Sporting Kansas City players have joined their national teams during the FIFA window. Left back Logan Ndenbe and the Belgium U-21 Men’s National Team host the Netherlands on Friday at Den Dreef Stadium in Lueven in preparation for the 2023 UEFA Under-21 Championship. Winger Marinos Tzionis is part of the Cyprus Men’s National Team roster for the resumption of the 2022-23 UEFA Nations League. Cyprus will host Greece at 1:45 p.m. CT on Saturday at AEK Arena in Lamaca.
Online voting will close at 5 p.m. CT this evening for Sporting Kansas City’s annual team awards , which will be announced at Pitch Black presented by Audi on Friday night at Children’s Mercy Park. First held in 2013, Pitch Black is an annual end-of-season event in which the club welcomes guests alongside Sporting Kansas City players and coaches for a night of drinks, dining and live entertainment. This year’s celebration will take place from 6-11 p.m. on Friday and culminates with an after party presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City.
Argyle Ace presented by Mazuma, a fundraising raffle that features weekly prizes and a progressive cash jackpot, has returned with half of all proceeds again going directly to The Victory Project. After prevailing in penalties against St. Louis CITY2 in their MLS NEXT Pro season finale on Sunday, four Sporting KC II players will visit local elementary schools this week for Red Card KC assemblies. Kian Alberto, Michael Lenis, Cole McLagan and Collin Fernandez will speak to students throughout the metropolitan area in support of the Call It When You See It anti-bullying campaign established by Sporting KC and Children’s Mercy.
Four Sporting KC II players will also make special appearances from 2-3:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Tommy’s Express Car Wash (3900 W. 6th St.) in Lawrence, KS. Ethan Bandre, Esai Easley, Curtez Kellman and Jahon Rad will sign autographs for fans in Lawrence, where Sporting KC II played eight home matches during the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro campaign.
A new edition of The Sporting KC Show will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB from 7-8 p.m. CT on Tuesday with hosts Nate Bukaty, Aly Trost Martin and Jacob Peterson. The Sporting KC Show Podcast is available on Spotify , iTunes and SportingKC.com , giving supporters a weekly destination to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.

Children’s Mercy Park will host christianMICHEAL’s Runway Review presented by Audi Shawnee Mission, a two-hour immersive fashion show experience with over 100 models wearing up to 15 looks from 12 local and national designers on a 200-foot runway positioned on the pitch, this Saturday.
