Sea Dogs to Host “Lady Mo” Night in Support of Movember
November 3, 2022 – Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) – Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
During the 2022 Memorial Cup presented by Kia, a clip of Sea Dogs Head Coach Gardiner MacDougall made the rounds on social media. After a comeback win against the Shawinigan Cataractes, Coach Macdedicated the winto “Lady Momentum” or “Lady Mo” as he called her, saying:
We all have special ladies in our lives, our grandmothers, our mothers, our wives, I have a daughter, I have sisters, but the key to success tonight was a lady called Lady Mo. Ms. Lady Momentum, sometimes she’s hard to find and you don’t know how long she’s going to stay with you. We’re lucky tonight that we found her and she stayed with us for a while.
During the month of November, the Sea Dogs will be channeling Lady Mo to push the fight for men’s health forward, by supporting Movember. Movember is a charity that funds men’s health projects across the globe, addressing issues from mental health and suicide, to testicular and prostate cancer.
During November, you can donate to the Sea Dogs Movember page HERE. Players and coaches, including Vincent Despont, Nico Laforge, Eriks Mateiko, Pavel Simek, and Jeff Hansen will be growing moustaches in support of the initiative. Keep an eye on our socials to see their progress all month long!
This month will culminate on November 27th, when the Sea Dogs host the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies for Lady Mo night. Wear blue and cheer on the Sea Dogs as Coach Mac comes back to TD Station to drop the ceremonial puck before the game.
Grab your tickets for the game on the 27th online HERE, in person at the TD Station Box Office, or by calling the TD Station Box Office at 657-1234.
