Romell Quioto Called up by Honduras

MONTREAL – CF Montréal forward Romell Quioto was called up by the Honduras national team ahead of two friendly matches scheduled during the upcoming FIFA international break, held between September 19-27.


Honduras will face Argentina on September 23, in Miami, as Lionel Messi’s squad prepares for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Los Catrachos will then square off against Concacaf neighbors El Salvador, on September 27, in Houston, Texas.

Quioto’s most recent National Team call up was in June, when he played every minute of three Concacaf Nations League matches, in which he tallied one goal and one assist.

Quioto made his senior national team debut on March 1st, 2012 and has since scored 13 times for his country in 57 appearances.
