September 1, 2022 – North American Hockey League (NAHL)El Paso Rhinos News Release

The NAHL Rhinos are kicking off the 2022-23 season with a free exhibition series
against the Amarillo Wranglers on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4!

This series will be the debut of new Rhino NAHL Head Coach Joe Coombs and Assistant Coach Josh
Brown. With over 20 years of coaching experience, Coombs is ready to continue building Rhino Hockey.

“Coaching in El Paso gives me an opportunity to join an organization that has something wonderful
going on, the chance to help it grow, and be part of something bigger than myself,” he said. “I want to
see this organization be the best in the NAHL. We want to win championships, but we’re going to do it
the right way. We will help young men become better young men and be productive members of our
community.”

Both games will include promotions like Chuck-A-Puck and Jerseys Off Our Backs where fans will have a
chance to win jerseys and other prizes. Following each game, fans can also skate with players for free.

The puck drops at the El Paso County Events Center at 7 pm on Saturday and 1 pm on Sunday. Doors
open to the public thirty minutes before game time. Tickets are not needed, and seating is first come,
first served.

After the exhibition series this weekend, the NAHL Rhinos will travel to Blaine, Minnesota to play their
first league games at the NAHL Showcase. They will return to El Paso for their home opener against the
Lone Star Brahmas on October 21 and 22 at 7 pm.

Later this month, the Rhinos’ NA3HL team, the defending South Division Champions, will open their
season at home against the New Mexico Ice Wolves on September 23 and 24 at 7 pm.
