The Chattanooga Red Wolves are pleased to announce the signing of Ivan Guiterrez after completing a transfer from USL Championship’s Orange County Soccer Club. Contract Pending League and Federation Approval.

Gutierrez, who was raised in Riverside, California, comes to the Red Wolves with a wealth of experience. He began his youth career with Chivas USA and Chivas Guadalajara. His time with Chivas saw him called up to the U-17 Mexico National Team on multiple occasions. In 2019, Gutierrez joined USL Championship side Los Angeles Galaxy II where he made 22 appearances and scored two goals over the course of one season. After success with the Galaxy, Gutierrez signed with Phoenix Rising in 2021 and ultimately with Orange County SC in 2022.

On joining the Red Wolves, Gutierrez is ready to, “Score many goals and give many assists. I want to help the team win the USL League One championship. I’m ready to give my all for this team and can’t wait to play in front of a full crowd at CHI Memorial Stadium.”

Interim Head Coach Jimmy Weekley is looking forward to further bolstering an already-talented Red Wolves roster, “We are excited to add a player of Ivan’s pedigree to our squad. We look for Ivan to give our team a lift as we make a push for the playoffs.”

“It’s very important that we continue building momentum towards a USL League One championship this season,” says Red Wolves GM & President, Sean McDaniel. “Signing a late addition like Ivan is critical towards that end. He brings USL Championship experience that we believe will translate to a successful late season playoff run and we are looking forward to having him on the field.”
