Radio & TV Broadcast Coverage Announced

Kitchener, Ont. – The Kitchener Rangers announced today the club’s radio and television broadcast coverage for the 2022-23 campaign.
“We could not be happier with our broadcast partners at Rogers Media (CityNews 570 CKGL) and Rogers tv,” said Kitchener Rangers Senior Director of Broadcasting, Communications and Hockey Operations Dominic Hennig. “We’re thrilled to have more than 90-percent of Rangers’ games broadcast live on television and all games covered on the radio this season, keeping Rangers’ fans connected both at home and on the road. We are grateful for Rogers Media and Rogers tv’s continued support and broadcast coverage of Kitchener Rangers Hockey.”
Radio:
For the 24th consecutive season CityNews 570 AM CKGL will be the official radio partner of the Kitchener Rangers, broadcasting all 68 regular season home and away games, including all playoff games in the postseason. Veteran play-by-play announcer and local media personality Mike Farwell will provide the play-by-play coverage for all Rangers games, with Chris Pope offering colour commentary. The duo is entering their fifth year in the booth together, having been on the Kitchener Rangers radio broadcast team since the 2017-18 season. Fans can tune in to the radio pregame show 30 minutes prior to puck drop and can be a part of the broadcast with extended postgame shows as Farwell takes phone calls from Rangers Nation after all home games at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. Fans can call 519-570-2545 during the radio postgame shows to talk Rangers Hockey.

Television:
The Kitchener Rangers have had a long-standing partnership with television provider Rogers tv, having aired Rangers’ games since the 1990’s. An impressive 64 of the Kitchener Rangers 68 games (94%) this season will be televised live province-wide throughout Ontario on the Super Sports Pak. Fans with Rogers tv, Cogeco/YourTV or Eastlink TV can add the Super Sports Pak to their cable television subscription to watch the Rangers on TV in high-definition all season long.
Of those 64 games, 57 games will be televised live locally on Rogers tv (channel 20 for Rogers cable TV subscribers) in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region. The three-man TV broadcast team will feature Jason Hagholm providing play-by-play coverage, Dan Polischuk adding colour commentary and Sean Furfaro serving as the host, rinkside.

All of our Rangers’ games are made possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of volunteer crews, from operating cameras, to audio and graphics, volunteers are the lifeblood of every Rangers production.”
Select Rangers’ games are televised internationally on both TSN in Canada and the NHL Network in the United States and will be announced at a later date.
