PHF Partners with SportsBubble and WatchSports App
August 3, 2022 – Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) News Release
BOSTON, MA – The Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) is proud to announce a partnership with SportsBubble Inc., a recently launched internet-based technology company that provides software, marketing, and services to simplify discovery and access to sports. Its first product, the WatchSports app, is a live Sports & Esports Event Guide for the streaming era.
With live sports content and media rights scattered across numerous platforms, WatchSports simplifies search by providing a guide with viewing options for all live events in one place. Just open the app, select an event and WatchSports will provide Watch Options in seconds. WatchSports offers trouble-free browsing with an easy-to-use schedule and connect-to-watch feature.
“I’m excited to launch SportsBubble with the WatchSports app,” said Lydia Murphy-Stephans, CEO & Founder of SportsBubble Inc., and a former Olympic speed skater. “With WatchSports, fans now have a universal source for live event viewing information at their fingertips. I set out to solve the sports media fragmentation problem and, in the process, we created a tool that will also help level the playing field for women’s sports exposure. WatchSports provides information and access equitably across all sports and viewing platforms which means the search-to-watch for a women’s college soccer game is as easy and fast as it is for an NFL game.”
In addition to the PHF, some of SportsBubble’s early partners include Pac-12 Conference and Networks, National Women’s Soccer League, Ladies Professional Golf Association, Athletes Unlimited, and US Speed Skating.
“Visibility and access are key components to growing the PHF and professional women’s sports which makes the WatchSports app an effective tool to help drive awareness and strengthen fan engagement,” said Reagan Carey, PHF Commissioner. “We are excited to partner with SportsBubble and look forward to seeing the spotlight shine brighter for the PHF and our elite athletes during the 2022-23 season.”
Last season the PHF made history with ESPN+ as its exclusive U.S. broadcasting partner as the network provided a home for all 60 regular season games, the All-Star Showcase, and Isobel Cup Playoffs. International rights were split between ESPN affiliates including TSN in Canada, and the streaming platform Twitch. The championship final on ESPN2 represented the network’s first linear broadcast of professional women’s hockey. The PHF’s 2022-23 schedule and broadcast partnership details are still to be announced, but will become available for fans through the WatchSports app once confirmed.
The WatchSports app is now available in the App Store. Just search “WatchSports” or click https://apple.co/37ZKAc4. Soon, it will be available at WatchSports.app and on Google Play for Android. Visit https://sportsbubble.io to learn more about SportsBubble and the WatchSports app.
