Pats Host Silvertips at Brandt Centre

Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats host the Everett Silvertips at 7:00 p.m. inside the Brandt Centre.
The Pats are coming off a 2-1 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday at the Brandt Centre, as the club dropped their third straight contest. The Warriors scored two power play goals in the first period to take a 2-0 lead. The Pats would answer with a power play goal in the second period from Alexander Suzdalev, but were unable to complete the comeback in the third. The final shots were 22-20 for the Warriors, as Drew Sim made 20 saves in the loss. Moose Jaw went 2-3 on their power play while Regina went 1-3.
For the Silvertips, they are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors at the Moose Jaw Events Centre on Friday. Jackson Berezowski scored his ninth of the season, while Olen Zellweger fired 10 shots on net and was named the games third star. Braden Holt got the start, allowing three goals on 30 shots as Everett outshot Moose Jaw 47-30 and 21-8 in the second period. The Silvertips were 0-1 on the power play and 2-2 on the penalty kill.
The Everett Silvertips are coming off a 2021-22 season where they finished first in the Western Conference, going 45-13-5-5 with 100 points, winning their ninth division title and making the playoffs for the 18th season in their 19 year history (2020-21 no playoffs were held)…last season, the Silvertips were upset by the eighth place Vancouver Giants in six games in round one.

It’s the only meeting between the Pats and Silvertips this season. Today’s game against Everett marks the first matchup between these two teams in Regina since October 21, 2018 (1469 days/4 years) when the Silvertips defeated the Pats 5-1.
