Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats host the Swift Current Broncos at 7:00 p.m. inside the Brandt Centre on Saturday.

The Pats are coming off a 5-2 loss on Friday to begin the three game homestand. Regina fell down 4-0 before scoring two unanswered goals in the third, but ultimately it was too little too late, as the Pats fall to 3-4-0-0 on the young season.

Carter Herman also recorded his first career assist and point. Matthew Kieper made 30 saves in the loss. The Pats were outshot 35-23, going 0-4 on the power play and 4-4 on the penalty kill.

For the Broncos, they are coming off a 5-4 overtime win on Saturday over the Prince Albert Raiders to improve to 2-3-0-0 on the year. Kayden Sadhra-Kang scored the overtime winner after the Broncos blew a 4-2 lead in the third, allowing the tying goal with less than two minutes to play.

Josh Filmon (1G-2A), Connor Hvidston (1G-1A) and Raphael Pelletier (1G-1A) had multi-point games in the loss. The Raiders outshot the Broncos 28-27. Swift Current went 3-6 on the power play while Prince Albert went 2-6.

The Swift Current Broncos are coming off a 26-35-5-2 record last year, good for 59 points, missing the playoffs by two points, finishing tied for ninth with Regina and Calgary. Their biggest success came at the 2022 NHL Draft as Josh Davies (FLA), Connor Hvidston (ANA), Josh Filmon (NJD), Owen Pickering (PIT) and Reid Dyck (BOS) got drafted by NHL clubs.
