Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats look to snap their four game losing-streak this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. against the Tri-City Americans at the Brandt Centre.

WHATS HAPPENING TODAY?

Come celebrate Halloween with the Pats! We will be hosting a post-game skate for anyone who shows up to the game in a Halloween costume! Whether you dress up or not, fans can also partake in the photo booth on the east concourse, which will be set up when doors open at 3 p.m.


Additionally, the first 400 fans will receive a Tim Hortons hockey card pack and some Halloween candy! Plus, stayed tuned for a special Halloween-themed intermission game in the first intermission.

LAST GAME

The Pats are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Everett Silvertips on Saturday at the Brandt Centre. The Pats overcame multiple one-goal deficits before allowing the go-ahead goal with under two minutes to play in the game. Connor Bedard (1G-1A) and Borya Valis scored for the Pats while Stanislav Svozil had two assists. Drew Sim made 21 saves on 24 shots as the final shots were 29-24. The Pats went 1-5 on the power play and 5-5 on the penalty kill.

On the other side, the Tri-City Americans defeated the Moose Jaw Warriors 6-2 on Saturday at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. The Americans had a 3-2 lead going into the third and were able to score three unanswered goals in the final frame to secure their sixth win of the season and their fourth straight victory. Jake Sloan tallied three assists, while Lukas Dragicevic and Ethan Ernst each recorded 1G-1A. In net, Tomas Suchanek made 30 saves on 32 shots as Tri-City outshot Moose Jaw 39-32. The Americans went 2-6 on the power play and 2-4 on the penalty kill.

Last season, the Americans went 19-43-6-0, good for 44 points which had them 21st in the WHL. They were outscored 306 to 179, giving up the second most goals against last year, missing the playoffs the second season in a row. Their last winning season was 2018-19 when they went 34-28-5-1 before losing in the Western Conference Finals.

It’s the first meeting between the Pats and the Americans at the Brandt Centre since November 9, 2018 (1,451 days / four years) when the Pats defeated the Americans 5-1. The last time these two teams faced off overall was in Tri-City during the 2019-20 season, as Regina lost 5-4 in regulation on January 11, 2020. The Pats are 19-22-2-1 against the Americans since they came into existence in 1988, going 10-10-1-0 at home and 9-12-1-1 on the road.
