SEATTLE, WA. – OL Reign announced today a multi-year agreement with Starfire Sports. The facility will serve as the club’s training site beginning in February 2023.

“This move is a monumental step for us, and we are excited to call Starfire home and to create a partnership with them to support the community,” said OL Reign CEO Vincent Berthillot. “Along with our move this season to Lumen Field, a priority for us has been to secure a top-level training facility near our new home venue that would support our club, its world-class players, and overall operations as we continue to grow.”

Starfire Sports is an exceptional soccer campus, located in Tukwila, Washington, 12 miles from Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. The 54-acre soccer facility launched in 2003 currently features five grass sports fields, eight lighted artificial-turf sports fields, two high-quality indoor soccer fields, and flex spaces. Starfire enhances community support and builds on its vision of creating a thriving community that ensures equitable opportunities and access for all by offering inclusive youth soccer and STEM education programs in addition to adult leagues and hosting events. Now home to Seattle Sounders FC until the club relocates to Longacres; the campus features an 85,000-square-foot Athletic Center, which includes locker rooms, restaurants, retail, and athletic training centers.

OL Reign will have exclusive access to top-quality training fields and locker room space, including additional space for operations and media opportunities. Starfire will also provide the club with extra field space for OL Reign Academy to create more accessible playing opportunities for the next generation and beyond.

“We are very excited to partner with OL Reign and have the team call Starfire home!” said Starfire Sports President and CEO Ben Oliver. “Partnering with OL Reign is an amazing opportunity for our community, and especially our kids, to witness these world-class athletes and further the soccer experience here and in the greater Seattle area we serve.”

“I would like to welcome OL Reign, its players, coaches, and fans to the Tukwila community,” said Tukwila Mayor Allan Ekberg. “Starfire and the City of Tukwila have set out a bold vision to be the epicenter of soccer in the Pacific Northwest. The OL Reign’s choice in Starfire shows that the vision is becoming a reality.”

Since 2019, OL Reign has operated and trained in Tacoma, Washington.

“I’d like to thank the City of Tacoma and the Tacoma Rainiers for their partnership over the last three years, providing our club a home base for our training and operations,” said Berthillot. “We are forever grateful for the immense support received from the local community. The relationships we built there will always have a special place in the club’s history and will remain an important part of the OL Reign family as a part of our commitment to the region.”
