Oil Kings Sign Goaltender Jake Pilon to WHL Standard Player Agreement

Edmonton, AB – The Edmonton Oil Kings have signed 2006-born goaltender Jake Pilon to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement, the club announced today.
Pilon, a Calgary, AB product, was selected by the Oil Kings in the eighth round, 177th overall, of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound netminder played last season with the Calgary Flames U16 AAA program where he appeared in 17 games and posted a record of 13-4-0 with a 2.18 goals against average, .917 save-percentage and three shutouts. His three shutouts were tied for the most in the league, while his goals against average was second best.
He is the son of former NFL and CFL offensive lineman Jeff Pilon.
