WINDSOR, Colo. – Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC has signed defender Jonathan Partida. The deal is pending league and federation approval.

“It feels good to be here,” Partida said. “There are some good players here, a good mentality, and we’re pushing for the playoffs. So I’m just here to help with that and hope for the best.”


The native of Newark, California, played his youth career with the San Jose Earthquakes academy. Partida played his college career with the San Jose State University Spartans. He played 3,905 minutes in 55 appearances over his three years with the school. While in school he played for Midland-Odessa Sockers FC of the United Soccer League’s Premier Development League in 2016.

Since going professional Partida has played in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). Starting with LA Force in 2020, before going to Bay Cities FC in 2022.

“Jon’s been training with us for the last couple of weeks,” Northern Colorado Head Coach Éamon Zayed said. “He’s looked sharp, gives us something different defensively, some backup, some added strength. Happy to have him here. He’s a great kid, has a great attitude, and has a great work ethic. He’s already come in and is part of the group.”
