N-OT the Right Ending

N-OT the Right Ending

October 27, 2022 – Ontario Hockey League (OHL)Niagara IceDogs News Release

The IceDogs twice battled back from one goal deficits, only to fall 3-2 in overtime to the visiting London Knights.

Down 1-0 after one, the Dogs continued to scrap until Pano Fimis would score his sixth of the year at 16:45 of the second. Declan Waddick did the hard work behind the net to set it up with Aidan Castle posting the second assist.

A second, late power play goal would send the home team to the dressing room for a second straight period trailing at 2-1.

In the final twenty of regulation, the IceDogs would not be denied. At 5:18 of the third, Brenden Sirizzotti’s third of the season was all hard work and desire, to even things at three. David Jesus got a point shot through and Sirizzotti refused to quit in close, banging in the rebound.

Shots were even at 27 after regulation. The only shot in OT was the game winner.

Tomorrow night, the plan is all tricks and no treats as the Windsor Spitfires invade the Meridian Centre for the IceDogs annual Halloween Game. Wear your costume and participate in our first intermission Halloween march.
