Mooseheads Hosting Victoriaville Friday at 7pm

The next home game for your Halifax Mooseheads is set for Friday, October 7th at 7pm at Scotiabank Centre versus the visiting Victoriaville Tigres.
The Moose will bring a perfect 2-0 record into play following wins over Cape Breton and Acadie-Bathurst to start the season. The Herd downed the Eagles 5-4 in overtime last Saturday night in Halifax before beating the Titan 6-4 on the road on Wednesday.
Star forward and Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Jordan Dumais is off to a hot start with a team-leading seven points. Dumais has one goal and six assists while playing on a line with Markus Vidicek and Mathieu Cataford, who have also enjoyed excellent starts to the season. Vidicek had a four-point effort on Wednesday while Cataford notched his first career hat trick. That duo is tied for second on the team in scoring with five points apiece.
Mathis Rousseau has started both games thus far for Halifax and has stopped 51 of 59 shots. The Power Play unit is tops in the QMJHL heading into the weekend with a 50% success rate thanks to six goals in 12 opportunities. The Penalty Kill is last in the league at 57.1% after allowing three goals on seven chances.
Newcomer Stephane Huard Jr will play in his first home game with the team on Friday, exactly one week after being traded to the Mooseheads from Sherbrooke. He suited up as the third line left winger on Wednesday alongside centre Logan Crosby and right winger Brody Fournier. Huard Jr scored a power play goal in his debut.
