MLS Announces Match Schedule and Broadcast Details for Audi 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs

NEW YORK – Following a dramatic Decision Day that saw four teams punch a ticket to the postseason, the 14-team field is now set for the Audi 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs.
Major League Soccer today announced the schedule and broadcast details for Round One action that will see six single-game elimination intraconference matches narrow the playoff field to eight teams ahead of the Eastern and Western Conference Semifinals.
As top seeds in their respective conferences, the Los Angeles Football Club and Philadelphia Union have both earned a bye in Round One, while the remaining 12 clubs prepare for Round One of postseason play.
Audi 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs Round One action kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 15 with a UNIMÁS / TUDN doubleheader with accompanying English-language broadcasts in local markets, on MLSSoccer.com, and on the MLS App. The opening two matches will be followed by a pair of matches on ABC and ESPN, with both games also shown on ESPN Deportes on Sunday, Oct. 16. Round One concludes with FS1 and FOX Deportes broadcasting the pair of matches on Monday, Oct. 17. TSN and TVA Sports will air all six Round One matches.
In addition, MLS announced Conference Semifinals match details for the Eastern Conference top seed Philadelphia Union and the Western Conference top seed and Supporters’ Shield winner LAFC.
Following a Round One bye, LAFC, the MLS Supporters’ Shield winner and Western Conference No. 1 seed, and the Philadelphia Union will enter the postseason on Thursday, October 20, with both matches airing on FS1 and FOX Deportes. In the East, the Union will host the winner of the New York Red Bulls (East No. 4) and FC Cincinnati (East No. 5) at Subaru Park at 8 p.m. ET. Later that evening, LAFC will welcome the winner of LA Galaxy (West No. 4) and Nashville SC (West No. 5) to Banc of California Stadium at 10 p.m. ET.
The two other Conference Semifinals matches featuring winning clubs from Round One will be featured on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 1 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 23. TSN and TVA Sports will carry all Conference Semifinals matches on their air.
Further details regarding the Conference Semifinals will be released following the completion of Audi 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs Round One action.
