Memphis 901 FC Falls to Loudoun United FC 1-0

Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC dropped a 1-0 midweek matchup to Loudoun United FC on Wednesday night at AutoZone Park, moving to 16-7-3 on the season.
Loudoun used a 56th minute goal to inch past 901 FC and split the season series between the two clubs. Memphis outshot Loudoun 21-9 on the night, forcing eight saves from keeper Luis Zamudio on 17 shots in the Loudoun box.
Memphis dominated the possession during the match until a ball lost on the sideline led to Loudoun finding Jacob Greene on a break away with only the keeper to beat to take the decisive lead in the 56th minute.
Tonight’s match marks the first time this season 901 FC has lost two consecutive matches as they sit tied for second place in the Eastern Conference with eight matches remaining in the regular season.
901 FC will head West for a match against Orange County SC on Saturday, September 3 at 9 p.m. CT.
