CARY, NC – The North Carolina Courage continues their homestand on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. ET against NWSL newcomers Angel City FC. The clash will be broadcast live on Paramount+, WRAL Sports+ (local) and Twitch (international).

Last Time Out: In what was arguably one of their most complete performances of the season, the North Carolina Courage defeated Racing Louisville FC, 5-1, in front of their home crowd on Saturday, Sept. 10. Brazilian phenoms Kerolin Nicoli and Debinha each tallied a brace during the match, and Duke University standout Tess Boade scored her first professional goal in her regular-season home debut to seal the dominant victory. Nadia Nadim registered the lone goal for Louisville.
Notables:
Kerolin Nicoli scored her third and fourth goals of the season in Saturday’s match, her second brace this season.
Debinha scored two goals in Saturday’s match, joining Kerolin Nicoli in adding a brace.
With her brace, Kerolin Nicoli scored the 299th and 300th NWSL goals and has recorded braces in back-to-back games.
Tess Boade scored her first professional goal in Saturday’s win, also making her regular season home debut.

North Carolina Courage – #8 Denise O’Sullivan
NC Courage midfielder Denise O’Sullivan is having a banner year, scoring her first regular-season goal since 2017 and adding two assists to her tally, the most recent of which came on teammate Kerolin Nicoli’s first goal in last Saturday’s 5-1 win. Recently re-signed to the Courage through 2024, O’Sullivan ranks second on the team in passing accuracy with 83.62%.
Angel City FC – #7 Simone Charley
Angel City FC striker Simone Charley netted the equalizer in LA’s last outing, a 1-1 draw against the Houston Dash, earning her first goal of the regular season. Charley ranks second among Angel City players with nine shots on goal on the year, has recorded seven key passes and boasts a 77.8% tackle success rate.
