Los Angeles Shines Bright and Gold in Support of LAFC Ahead of MLS Cup, on Saturday, November 5

LOS ANGELES, CA. – For the first time in Club history, LAFC is in the MLS Cup, hosting the league championship game on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Banc of California Stadium at 1pm PT (FOX/TUDN/Univision).

LAFC hosts Eastern Conference Champions the Philadelphia Union in the historic MLS Cup Final, with another capacity crowd expected at LAFC’s home stadium. The Black & Gold have sold out every MLS regular season and playoff match in team history played without attendance restrictions.


Leading up to Saturday’s game, LAFC is set to #Blackout LA, with civic activities taking place throughout the City of Angels in a unified sign of support and pride for LAFC and the impending MLS Cup Final. LAFC is encouraging fans to support the Black & Gold by ‘Blacking Out’ LA street-by-street and block-by-block while wearing LAFC black gear leading up to Saturday’s match.

LIGHTING ACTIVATIONS

Los Angeles City Hall will light up in LAFC Gold in celebration and pride of its home team.

Los Angeles’ iconic and newly reopened Sixth Street Bridge will be brandishing LAFC Gold lights.

The U.S. Bank Tower, one of the most iconic skyscrapers in Los Angeles and among the tallest in the world, will light up in LAFC Gold.

Downtown Los Angeles’ architecture gem, and one of the biggest train stations in the United States, Union Station, will be lighting up the outside of their premises in LAFC Gold.

CIVIC ACTIVATIONS

The quintessential naval battleship, USS Iowa, will raise an LAFC flag. This battleship has been around the world many times since its construction in the 1940s and hosted President Franklin Roosevelt during his travels during the height of the second World War.

Internationally renowned tourist destination, Venice Beach, will also proudly display the LAFC flag at Windward Plaza, steps away from the boardwalk on Friday.

LAFC fans can order the “LAFC Dog” at iconic Los Angeles restaurant, Pink’s Hot Dogs all week.

Numerous beloved LA staples will be amplifying their support for LAFC including: LA Library, LA Zoo, and the Natural History Museum.

COMMUNITY ACTIVATIONS

Nine Southern California Ford dealerships will fly the LAFC flag and proudly #BlackoutLA with employees wearing LAFC gear at the following locations:

Star Ford

Sunrise Ford of North Hollywood

Airport Marina Ford

Party Beer Co. on 4203 W. Jefferson Blvd. will fly an LAFC flag and servers will wear LAFC gear to #BlackOutLA

Three Southern California Chick-fil-A Locations will fly the LAFC flag at:

807 Americana Way, Glendale

4050 Lincoln Blvd., Venice

Numerous Southern California Toyota Dealerships will fly the LAFC flag in the days leading up to the MLS Cup.

BAR PARTNER ACTIVATIONS

LAFC bar partners are supporting the Black & Gold throughout the week with staff wearing LAFC gear and by placing QR stickers on location. The QR stickers give each patron a chance to win tickets to the 2022 MLS Cup. The QR stickers can be found in the following locations:
